Post How to disable Private messages / Inbox in mingle?

I m setting up a site with Mingle , Mingle froum and plugin Cartpauj PM !

I m happy with the PM system of Cartpauj PM and would like to disable the inbuilt PM system of Mingle ?

How do i do that ? can somebody guide me !

It's not currently available but we're working on making it optional in mingle. I'm so glad you like mine better :D

is there any hacks - a little modification of code -?
Or do i have to wait for another release?

Well for now just delete the Inbox page for Mingle, then open the MngleMessagesController.php file and change line 72 to 

//require( MNGL_VIEWS_PATH . "/mngl-messages/button.php" );

It works ! will be great if Cartpauj PM can be integrated with mingle as Cartpauj PM is better than the one in mingle!

Hahaha, well I personally think the mingle one is better, just for the simple fact that it allows you to send a message to multiple recipients. But it is limited to only your friends which kinda stinks but for security reasons we decided that would be best for Mingle PMs.

Hi,

I know you said the option will be to be able to turn of the mingle "Private messages", but I was wondering.. Is there going to be an option for users to allow messaging from people who aren't friends? I think that would be useful.
